PUBLIC NOTICE – planned shutdown of our water supply line

The Town of Dalhousie has a planned shutdown of our water supply line from September 15th at 12:01 a.m. until September 16th at approximately 6:00 a.m. to enable some minor repairs to the line.  The Town of Dalhousie will have a limited water supply for approximately thirty (30) hours.

The Town of Dalhousie is urging its citizens to refrain from doing laundry, watering lawns, washing vehicles or any use of excessive amounts of water during the shutdown.  Normal water consumption may resume on Thursday September 17th.

The shutdown will have no effect on your water quality once service is re-established.

The cooperation of citizens, businesses and institutions during this shutdown will be greatly appreciated.  Should you require further information, please contact the Town Hall at 684-7600.

System and hydrant flushing

As part of its regular maintenance, the Town of Dalhousie will conduct system and hydrant flushing Thursday, September 3rd, 2020

Residents may notice water discoloration and reduced water pressure. It is suggested that you flush your system by running your cold taps, after the Town’s flushing has been completed.  The flushing will improve the water quality in the system.
