TOWN OF DALHOUSIE
A BY-LAW RESPECTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CAO) OF THE TOWN OF DALHOUSIE
BE IT ANACTED by the Town Council of the Town of Dalhousie as follows:
WHEREAS Section 74(1) of the New Brunswick Municipalities Act, M-22 provides that the Council of a municipality may appoint a Chief Administrative Officer for the municipality;
The Council of the Town of Dalhousie under authority vested in it by Section 74 (1) of the Municipalities Act M-22 of the Province of New Brunswick hereby enacts as follows:
1. There shall be in and for the Town of Dalhousie a Chief Administrative Officer.
1. The Chief Administrative Officer shall be appointed by resolution and may be engaged by an Employment Contract.
2. All aspects of employment not addressed by the Employment Contract shall be addressed by the Non-Bargaining Personnel Policy.
3. The Council may, by resolution, appoint an acting Chief Administrative Officer and prescribe his/her duties, who shall act during illness, absence or other incapacity that may prevent the Chief Administrative Officer from performing the duties of his/her office.”
This By-Law repeals former By-Law No. 104-05
