TOWN OF DALHOUSIE
MUNICIPAL PLAN AND ZONING BY-LAW
The Municipal Council of the Town of Dalhousie is considering an amendment to the Municipal Plan of the Town, being By-law 805-08, and an amendment to the Zoning By-law of the Town, being By-law 806-11.
The proposed amendment to the Municipal Plan, to change the designation of the property located at 189 Hocquard Street, having PID 50095462, from the “Residential Designation” to the “Institutional Designation”, and to change the designation of a proposed parcel of land from the “Highway Commercial Designation” to the “Institutional Designation”, was presented on July 14, 2014.
The purpose of the proposed amendment to the Municipal Plan is to allow the rezoning of the same property and parcel to permit the expansion of a special care home. The property located at 189 Hocquard Street, having PID 50095462, will be rezoned from “Multiple Residential” to “Institutional”, and the proposed parcel of land will be rezoned from “Highway Commercial” to “Institutional.”
The proposed amendments may be examined at the Town Hall during working hours. Council will hold a public hearing at the Town Hall on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm, to review written objections received. Any person wishing to speak in favor or against those objections shall have an opportunity to do so at this hearing.
Written objections to the proposed amendments shall be addressed to Council and shall be received by the undersigned until 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
