he Dalhousie Business Improvement Area Corporation (BIAC) is both an organization and a geographic area with specific boundaries. The organization’s mandate is the revitalisation of downtown Dalhousie which includes promoting the interests of property owners and businesses on an ongoing basis for marketing, beautification, and other initiatives. Through the efforts of the downtown coorporation, physical improvements and promotion events have brought new life to the downtown. Musical Thursday and Christmas parade are two of the major activity put forward by the business corporation. Members of the BIAC are restaurants, stores, shops, all professional services and many government agencies.

Downtown Dalhousie is the heart of the community with the Rotary park outdoor theater, the marina, the Restigouche Regional Museum, the Dalhousie Centennial Library, coffee shop, restaurants, shops and much more within a short walking distance.
