The history of music has seen the creation of thousands of string quartet works composed. This musical format, accredited to the Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, has now been a standard for string musicians worldwide. Yet only a handful of compositions are known universally by a name. Hear the Rolston String Quartet perform and introduce a program of quartet pieces, all more commonly known by their titles.
